1.) Can you pressure wash in the rain?

Yes, despite popular opinion it is actually easier as the rain will loosen dirt from surfaces.

2.) Why should I pressure wash?

From a maintenance perspective, pressure washing can prolong the life of the material by allowing it to drain and breathe properly. Visually, as long as the proper procedures are followed pressure washing can make things look like new.

3.) When should I pressure wash?

Yearly is a good interval, but it does depend on the surface and Twin City Metro Wash will help you to figure out your maintenance schedule and cleaning needs.

4.) Can you clean my house if I am on a well?

Yes, we can use our water tank to use as a float to stabilize the pressure from your well.

5.) How much pressure do your machines have?

We have the capacity for up to 5000 psi. Most surfaces need much less pressure to clean. We will use a detergent to supplement the pressure washing if the dirt is too stubborn. We also have high flow machines which puts out a lot more water but at lower pressure. This is easier on surfaces but provides the same amount of cleaning power.

6.) What is a sidewalk cleaning machine?

It is a machine that lies on a flat surface with spinning wands underneath. This machine allows us to wash sidewalks and driveways quickly and uniformly leaving none of the usual wand marks.

7.) Do you have hot water?

Yes, we have a boiler that has adjustable temperature that can heat water up to 180 degrees Celsius.

8.) Is it better to pressure wash or use a brush and soap to wash my house?

There is a lot of controversy over whether it is safe to pressure wash siding. As long as the proper techniques are used, low pressure and proper spraying angles it is safe. Although when there is any amount of deep cleaning needed we will supplement the pressure with a detergent applied either by brush or spray.

9.) Do you use environmentally safe detergents?

We have a large variety of detergents that we use. Environmentally friendly detergents tend to be less powerful. Unless we are decreasing heavy machinery or removing graffiti (which use powerful chemicals) we use safe detergents whenever possible.

10.) What happens if my garden gets dirty from the washing?

At Twin City Metro Wash we always go the extra mile. Finishing touches and attention to detail are what keep customers coming back to us. At the end of each job we go around the area and use a low soft spray to rinse any areas that have been affected by the cleaning.

11.) Are you insured?

Home and business owners can be rest assured of our excellent safety record with the Twin City Metro Wash. Although we follow all industry standards we are covered if something should go wrong. We do a lot of work for large contractors who insist on high levels of insurance.

12.) Are your workers safe?

Always. We follow all industry standards and have an excellent safety record. We have extensive training to ensure our workers have all the knowledge required to stay safe.

13.) Do you wash windows on the inside as well as outside?

Yes, we do wash interior windows as well as skylights and hi-reach windows. We do construction cleans on windows inside and out to remove all glue, stickers and other construction debris.

14.) Can you wash my screens?

We always remove the screens to wash the windows and if requested we will also wash both sides of the screens to remove bugs, dust, dirt and bird droppings.

15.) What is a Tucker pole?

An aptly named device. A Tucker pole extends up to 55 feet and can wash windows up to five stories high. It has a specifically designed brush on the end to clean the glass. Water is hosed up through the brush to do the cleaning. A very cost efficient way to clean windows.

16.) How do I protect my driveway?

A sealer fills in the pores of concrete and protects against oil and other spills from soaking in. We apply concrete and asphalt sealers to driveways, sidewalks and pool areas. Sealers come in a glaze that keeps surfaces looking wet and also flat for undecorated concrete.
